Bag in hand , Taylor casually walked up to the stage. She looked around at the seats and benches that surrounded the platform. This is where her audience would be laughing , crying , or if she was really good they would be in awe , silenced by her amazing performance. And at the end she would turn to the people, raise her hand and give a quick , low bow. The crowd would cheer and she would once again be the star of the evening. But she hadn't acted on stage in months. It wasn't that she had gotten stage freight or anything. No no. That would be pathetic. She had just been to busy with her family and with... Taylor told herself not to talk about him. This was why she had moved.. La.. he... was not good enough for her. Or rather she was too good for him. Yeah that was it. She was way to good for him. Her thoughts rambled back to acting. Nobody was here... Maybe she could do a short skit by herself... That would be okay right? It's not like this place would have rules about being in here by yourself. She set her bag down on one of the second row benches and skipped to the edge of the stage. her fingers traced the beautiful mahogany top as she lifted herself up and over. She looked up at the high ceiling and a sense of happiness and pride washed over her. This is where she truly belonged. She had never felt more alive then when she performed plays. She turned towards the empty chairs and started with one of her favorite lines from one of her favorite plays....
"Thou know'st the mask of night is on my face,Else would a maiden blush bepaint my cheek For that which thou hast heard me speak to-night Fain would I dwell on form, fain, fain deny What I have spoke: but farewell compliment! Dost thou love me? I know thou wilt say 'Ay,' And I will take thy word: yet if thou swear'st, Thou mayst prove false; at lovers' perjuries Then say, Jove laughs.
O gentle Romeo,
If thou dost love, pronounce it faithfully: Or if thou think'st I am too quickly won, I'll frown and be perverse an say thee nay, So thou wilt woo; but else, not for the world. In truth, fair Montague, I am too fond,
And therefore thou mayst think my 'havior light: But trust me, gentleman, I'll prove more true Than those that have more cunning to be strange. I should have been more strange, I must confess, But that thou overheard'st, ere I was ware, My true love's passion: therefore pardon me, And not impute this yielding to light love, Which the dark night hath so discovered."
She took one last look over the rows and bowed. Tears brimed over her face as she sank to the ground. Her arms folded around her legs and sobs echoed from her lips. she had forgotten what it felt like to too play such a character as a Juliet. True, everyone new the story but who could imagine being in Juliet's place? Taylor felt as though she was the person who was strong enough to play such a part. or maybe.. just maybe.. She really wasn't cut out for this job. Maybe.. she wasn't good enough.

"Fuck." Justin whispered. after biting his lip. The door into the theater had creaked after he entered. He didn't think anyone would be there but still, if someone was here he wouldn't want to disturbed them. But it wasn't like there were any performances going on today, He thought. Justin's theater etiquette taught him to be on time to any performance and sit quietly and watch, among many other things. The theater had taught Justin so much. Hard work, to follow rules, even to make sacrifices. This brought a memory to Justin's mind. 'Eighth grade theater I had to jell my hair back and wear a prosthetic nose.' The nose wasn't that bad but having his hair jelled back was tough. He half frowned. All the piercings would keep him from doing certain parts, he'd probably die for. He hardly looked like an actor, let alone someone who loved theater. It was a choice he made and one he'd have to live with, but that wouldn't stop him.
As he walked passed the isles of empty chair Justin noticed a girl get onto the stage. He debated to himself, wether he should leave and comeback later or stay. He grinned and took the seat closest next to him, somewhere in the middle isles. 'She most likely is an actress.'He thought.'And it would be good to see some of my competition.' As he took a seat she spoke. He smiled, feeling that she put a lot of emotion into her dialog. 'She is a good actress.'He whispered to himself. Then, she was done. People like her, who put their heart into their dialog, the characters they played, that's the type of person Justin was, wanted to be. This girl, this stranger made him wonder if he was even cut out to be in this school. She made him question wether he's really different. Justin than stood up, wanting to head to the door. Suddenly he heard quiet sobs coming from the stage. It was that girl. He contemplated wether or not go see whats wrong, at the risk of looking like a creep of being a helpful person. He quickly decided and headed to the stage at ease. "Uhh... Hey. Are you alright?" Justin said, scratching the back of his neck. Hopefully this was the right thing to do.

Taylor could feel her body shuddering from the realization that somebody had been watching. Somebody had seen her small solo performance. That wasn't really a problem to her. She loved for people to see her acting. But when she brought that barrier down. When she showed people who she really was... that frightened her. When your acting your not playing yourself.. your playing a role. People won't know the real you based on that character. But when your out there.. In the real world... you have to be yourself or your just a fake. Nobody will really know if your really their friend or if your just doing a role.Taylor tried to focus back on the voice that she had heard. She knew that he had said a question so she stood up, turned around , and wiped the tears off with her sleeve then faced the stranger. "Uhh... Hey. Are you alright?" was the words that she heard. She didn't really think anyone would care about her but hey why shove off kindness. She pinched the bridge of her nose and exhaled. "Yes , I just... I don't know what came over me. I'm sorry you had to witness this. I apologize. If you want to use the stage I'll be sure to leave in a few minutes. Or if you wish we could go somewhere to eat." Why had she just asked this person to go eat with her? Isn't that something that at least acquaintances do? Well maybe she should become that first. Oh , by the way the name is Taylor. Taylor Gernon. Well, that would have to do for now. But what if this stranger decided to decline her offer? Well, wouldn't be the first time. She has faced rejection many times by men... She didn't even really care anymore. But it was nice to have friends in a place that you were new too and this could possibly be a good friend for her. He was nice enough to ask her how she was. Maybe this would be the start of something amazing. Taylor looked at the man at decided that maybe judging his appearance would be ok. He was very nice looking. To her at least. Lots of piercings but hey what he wanted to do was fine with her. She herself wanted a tattoo. One on her wrist. She was also thinking about getting one around her ankles and on the back of her neck. If her parents even knew she was thinking about getting a tattoo they would freak. Well maybe she should stop thinking about random stuff and think back to the boy. he looked very interesting to say the least. The very least. while she waited she stood back and pondered.

Justin half smiled when he heard her crying stop. That's good, right? Seeing or hearing girls cry broken Justin's heart and he couldn't deal with it without feeling like crying too. It was sort of an impulse but whatever. Hopefully he hadn't interrupted her performance or any moment she was having, but Justin was a curious boy. As she replied Justin felt less guilty for staying to watch her preform her dialog. He knew how it felt, preforming up there. The feeling made him feel like he was on top of the world. You were special and no one else mattered. The feeling was amazing even if it lasted only few seconds to a few minutes. "Yes , I just... I don't know what came over me. I'm sorry you had to witness this. I apologize. If you want to use the stage I'll be sure to leave in a few minutes. Or if you wish we could go somewhere to eat." Justin smiled. "It's fine, seriously. I just needed to make sure you were alright." That was true. Who knows what could've happened if he didn't come up to her an make sure she was fine? Justin didn't know and it something he needed to do. Make sure she was alright. "I didn't need to use the stage. I just felt like being next to the theater. It, I don't know. Makes me feel relaxed and..."Justin's smile quickly turned into a big grin, when he realized she asked him to dinner. He knew this was an innocent gesture but he couldn't help it. This girl was very polite and nice, even after just meeting. More people should be like this."Uhh... Sure." It was all he manged to say. Nothing else came to his mind and he prayed he didn't sound sarcastic or rude. "Hello Ms. Taylor. I'm Justin." He said approaching the stage to shake he hand. They introduced themselves and had already made a dinner plan? This was going to be interesting, if not fun. Taylor was pretty. Not just pretty, but PRETTY. Justin wasn't one to start crushing on someone after first seeing or talking to someone but he couldn't deny that he was attracted to her. At least psychically. She did look like one of those girls who wasn't into those bad boy looking guys but Justin wasn't that much of a bad boy. At least not in the inside. word count: 439 song: make her say- kid cudi ooc: idk i love that song. lolz[/size]
